EN ISO 9239-1/EN9239-1 Reaction to Fire Tests for Floorings -Standard name
EN ISO 9239-1: Reaction to fire tests-Horizontal surface spread of flame on floor-covering systems-Part 1: Flame spread using a radiant heat ignition source.
EN ISO 9239-1: Fire reaction test of floor coverings. Part 1: Determination of combustion performance using radiant heat source.
EN ISO 9239-1:2010 replaces EN ISO 9239-1:2002 on the response of floor materials to fire. The national standard GB/T11785:2005 is similar to this standard.
EN ISO 9239-1/EN9239-1 Reaction to Fire Tests for Floorings-Test Method
ISO9239-1 specifies a method for evaluating the burning performance of ground materials. This method is to use a small flame to ignite the ground material placed horizontally and exposed to a 30° inclined heat radiation panel in a test combustion box to evaluate its flame propagation ability. This method is suitable for the combustion performance of various ground materials (including substrates).According to the heat radiation curve, the observed flame propagation distance is converted into kw/m², and the critical radiation heat is calculated to be accurate to 0.2 kw/m². If the sample is not ignited or the flame propagation does not exceed 110mm, its critical heat radiation flux is ≥11kw/m², and if the flame propagation distance of the sample exceeds 910mm, its critical heat radiation flux is ≤1.1kw/m².EN ISO 9239-1 radiant heat control: the maximum point is 11kw/m², and the end drop is 1kw/m²;
EN ISO 9239-2 radiant heat control: the maximum point is 25kw/m², and the tail end drops to 2.6kw/m²;
ISO9239-1 can also be used for the optical density test of flue gas.
EN ISO 9239-1/EN9239-1 Floor material response to fire-test material
The following materials can apply for ISO9239-1 test:
Floor, floor spraying materials
Rubber floor, PVC floor
Plastic floor, plastic floor
carpet
Aluminum honeycomb panel
Other floor covering materials
EN ISO 9239-1 Burning Class:
Floor covering flammability class SF1-SF3 (SF1, SF2, SF3), according to DIN 4102-14 or DIN EN ISO 9239-1
DIN 4102-14 can also be used for the optical density test of flue gas:
